Neurological Diseases

The complexities of the brain require equally complex scientific approaches. UH faculty are conducting multidisciplinary research to understand neural circuitry and signaling, utilizing advanced imaging, modeling, AI, neural engineering, nano-drug delivery and circuit analysis, to discover mechanisms underlying normal brain physiology and the pathology driving disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, neurodegeneration, substance use disorder and learning disabilities.
