Our laboratory develops next-generation nanomedicine strategies to precisely modulate the immune system for therapeutic applications. We focus on nucleic acid–based therapeutics, including mRNA and other genetic cargos, and on the design of lipid nanoparticles and immunomodulatory materials for efficient and targeted delivery.
A central theme of our research is overcoming key biological barriers—such as the blood–brain barrier—that limit effective delivery to target tissues. By integrating formulation science, mechanistic understanding, and disease-driven applications, we aim to establish design principles that enable more predictable and translatable nanomedicine performance.
Our work spans cancer immunotherapy and inflammatory diseases, with an emphasis on developing platform technologies capable of modulating multiple signaling pathways to improve therapeutic outcomes.
