Bin Liu
Bin Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology and Biochemistry. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the UMass Amherst and completed his postdoctoral training at MIT. Dr. Liu’s research integrates polymer chemistry, bioconjugation, targeted drug delivery, and cancer immunotherapy. His lab focuses on the rational design of precision therapeutics to improve the efficacy and safety of cancer treatment. Current research directions include: 1. Innovative Macromolecular Conjugates – Developing advanced polymer synthesis and site-specific bioconjugation techniques, including next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). 2. Precision Antibody-Targeted Therapeutics – Engineering antibody-based platforms across molecular length scales to deliver a broad range of payloads (small molecules, peptides, proteins, and nucleic acids) with high specificity. 3. Next-Generation Immunotherapy – Designing novel immune-based treatments, including combination immunotherapies, bispecific antibodies, mRNA vaccines, and oncolytic virotherapies to enable more personalized and potent cancer interventions.
